However, as we get older, desquamation slows down, leading to dullness, clogged pores, and dryness in the skin.

Alternatively, chemical exfoliants work by dissolving the intercellular glue that binds skin cells together, enabling their separation and removal from the skin. Examples of chemical exfoliants include Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid.
